Every muscle group is strengthened and defined with the exercises, techniques, and training drills that are an integral component of our curriculum. Increased endurance, stamina, and cardiovascular conditioning will also be felt in your daily life and activities, enhancing energy and confidence.

Yet one of the most unique aspects of martial arts over other fitness programs is the focus on both the mind and body.  As you train in useful self protection skills that help you increase your fitness level and personal safety, you also strengthen and condition your own self-confidence, your self-control, and your abilities to meet life’s challenges head-on.  In essence, Defensive Edge gives you a personal training program to help motivate you, coach you, and keep you on track to meet your goals -- both mentally and physically.





Defensive Edge is a unique martial arts school where we enhance the community by teaching modern-day, reality-based self protection skills, by helping people get in shape, and by instilling values for personal growth in character, self esteem, respect, patience, integrity and courtesy.  Our academy combines a progressive self-defense focus with centuries old martial arts traditions to strengthen mind and body, while establishing life skills that lead to remarkable improvements in academic performance, careers, and relationships.

With a focus the disciplines of:  Small Circle Jujitsu (Modern Self Protection), Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Submission Wrestling), Muay Thai (Thai Kick Boxing) and Mixed Martial Art (MMA) we offer high energy, motivational programs that help you achieve physical fitness, self-discipline, and a positive “can-do” attitude.  Plus, we have World Class Competition teams in both Mixed Martial Arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (Submission Wrestling).

Unlike many team sports, there are no benchwarmers at Defensive Edge.  The only person you compete with is "yourself." Students come to us from all ages and fitness levels. They come for our modern-day self protection training, for fitness, for competition, and for fun. Each person is treated as an equal and our curriculum guides, instructs and encourages our students to strive to be the best they can be.  Just as team sports encourage competition and camaraderie, the martial arts training at Defensive Edge promotes friendships with fellow students and a competitive spirit – all in an energetic, motivational environment.
